Children's Dental Office Visits Near You

Our practice is committed to providing you and your family with safe, gentle, and high-quality dental care. We understand that your child may feel anxious about visiting the dentist. We are sensitive to children’s needs, and it is our goal to make your son or daughter feel comfortable visiting our practice while we provide the best care possible.

Your first visit is all about your child: his or her comfort, happiness, and health

The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD) recommends that your child see a dentist by age 1. Starting dental care at an early age allows the child to become familiar with the dentist, and early visits are key for dental prevention and a childhood free of dental problems. More importantly, it allows us to educate the parent about diet and proper home care for your little ones.

Just as each child is unique, each "first visit" is different. Initially, we usually go over oral hygiene instruction with you and your child, at which time your child would choose a kid-friendly toothbrush to take home. Usually by age 3, the doctor or hygienist would perform a dental cleaning and apply topical fluoride to help protect the teeth against decay. The doctor will further examine your child’s teeth, hygiene, diet, and habits.

Serve as a good role model at home with your child by practicing good oral health care habits alongside him or her to make home care fun. For those children with dental decay, it is a time to discuss appropriate treatment options for your child so that they can have visits that are positive and help prevent any anxiety or fear.
